Last Saturday, April 2, the RFEDETO Cup took place in a multi-venue Free Pistol format at the facilities of the Catalan Olympic Shooting Federation located at the Institut de Seguretat Pública de Catalunya, in Mollet de Vallès. The competition started at about ten in the morning as the speed pistol test was held before and consisted of 15 minutes of rehearsal and 90 minutes to perform 60 shots, at first glance it seems like a long time a minute and a half per shot, but it ends up being short due to the complexity of the modality, due to the distance between the shooter and the target, 50 meters above a precision target.
The light was very good as the sky was completely clear, but it was abnormally cold for the weather and quite windy.
Three athletes from the Cambrils Club, Jordi Balañà, Francisco Salinas and Josep Maria López, took the 2nd, 4th and 5th positions in the Senior category. The winner of this edition of the Championship was the Sabadell Club athlete Francisco Cabrera Martínez.
