On Sunday, April 10, the Generalitat Speed Pistol Trophy took place at the facilities of the Catalan Olympic Shooting Federation located at the Public Safety Institute of Catalonia, in Mollet de Vallès. The competition started promptly at 9 in the morning, with quite a few clouds, the electronic targets available to the federation worked perfectly, immediately giving the results to the participant on several display screens.
The speed pistol is a very technical modality, in fact it is Olympic, it consists of 60 competition shots in two equal parts, formed by three groups of two series where 5 dueling targets must be shot in a certain time, in eight seconds. , six seconds and four seconds, after these last two series, a kind of half part or rest is done, so that the participants can relax before starting the second part of the competition.
The sportsman Jordi Francesc Balañà has participated from the Cambrils Shooting Club, achieving fourth place in the senior category.
The winner of this edition of the Trophy was the athlete from the Barcelona Shooting Club, Emilio Manzano.
