Participation in the 2026 Catalan Centerfire Championship.

Last Sunday, May 10th, the Catalan Centerfire Championship took place at the Catalan Shooting Federation facilities in Mollet.

The novelty this year was the implementation of new ISSF (International Shooting Sports Federation) regulations, which primarily affected gun grips. The geometries of some parts had to be modified to comply with the regulations. Additionally, the precision phase was reduced from five minutes to four minutes per series.

The competition consisted of a precision phase with thirty shots in series of five. Once the precision phase was completed, the rapid fire phase began, also with thirty shots in series of five. In this phase, the shot had to be taken at a speed target within three seconds, starting with the arm holding the weapon in a 45-degree position. Jordi Balañà, a member of our club, won the runner-up position in the Senior category. The winner of this edition of the Championship was the athlete Adrià Rovira Torras, from the Granollers Precision Shooting Club.
