This Sunday 03/14/2021 the Catalan Standard Pistol Championship took place at the facilities of the Catalan Federation of Olympic Shooting located at the Public Security Institute of Catalonia, in Mollet del Vallés. The competition began at 09:00 and consisted of five shifts to fit in the 50 athletes who participated, a success given the current situation, ending after 14:00. The most outstanding novelty of this year has been the use of electronic targets with their corresponding monitors for each firing point and with screens in the stands where the public is accommodated, giving the feeling of being in an international competition of this modality and facilitating that the competition will take place in less time than usual since the count of the points is instantaneous. The winner of this edition was the athlete from the Montsià Shooting Club Josep Baiges, the athlete from our club Jordi Francesc Balañá has obtained a creditable eighth place in his category and tenth overall.
