• Sunday, May 19, the Generalitat Air Rifle Trophy took place in the very well-equipped facilities of the Catalan Olympic Shooting Federation located at the Public Security Institute of Catalonia, in Mollet de Vallès. The competition started punctually at 9 in the morning. The federation has 50 targets at 10 meters. electronic devices that immediately give the results to the participant on display screens, one per shooting site, which has greatly speeded up the course of the competition. Air Rifle, which is an Olympic modality that consists of sixty competition shots to be performed in 1h 15 min on electronic targets and 1h 30 min on paper targets, with a compressed air rifle and 4.5 mm caliber pellets, on a target. 5 cm in diameter divided into concentric scoring zones between 0 and 10 points, and located 10 meters from the athlete in a covered gallery. The eight best from the Competition Phase compete in an Olympic Final, in which the athletes are progressively eliminated. For the fight for Gold or Silver, a maximum of 24 shots would be contested. Athletes Juliacs Benavent, Alba Fernández, Marina Parreu have participated from the Cambrils Shooting Club with the help of our instructor Santiago Pleguezuelo. The winner of this edition of the Trophy was the athlete from the JTA Rosales Club.
