Participation in the Generalitat Free Pistol Trophy, Cambrils Obtains the second position of the Trophy.
Last Sunday, October 2, the Generalitat Free Pistol Trophy took place at the facilities of the Catalan Olympic Shooting Federation located at the Public Safety Institute of Catalonia, in Mollet de Vallès. The competition began just after the Rifle Match, once the athletes are called to the firing line and waiting a reasonable time for everyone to be prepared, they begin the 15-minute rehearsal and then they had 90 minutes to make 60 shots, At first glance, a minute and a half per shot seems like a long time, but it ends up being short due to the complexity of the modality, due to the distance that separates the athlete from the target, 50 meters on a precision target. The competition took place with a good ambient temperature and a radiant sun. Three athletes participated from the Tir Olímpic Cambrils Club, Jordi Balañá who obtained the second position in the Senior category and Josep María López and Francisco Salinas who obtained the fourth and fifth position respectively. The winner in the Senior category of this edition of the Championship was the athlete from the Montsià Shooting Club, Josep Baiges.
We once again congratulate our participants for placing the Club de Tir Olimpic Cambrils in the front line of the competitions and for the results that are being achieved in these important championships in the Spanish federation calendar, as well as our Club and Cambrils in the elite of the international world of sport shooting that they represent.
