Jordi Balañá Wins First and Second Place in Standard Pistol and Air Pistol Competitions, Andorra la Vella Festival Trophy 2026.
This past Saturday and Sunday, August 1st and 2nd, the competitions for the Andorra la Vella Festival 2026 took place at the facilities of the Andorra Precision Shooting Club in the Els Serradets sports complex.
Saturday’s Standard Pistol competition was held in an indoor shooting range at the Andorra Precision Shooting Club, where 25-meter sporting arms and IPSC competitions are held.
Sunday’s competition featured representatives from various clubs in Spain, France, and Andorra.
This competition used an electronic target range with a monitor displaying the athletes’ impacts and a corresponding computer system for tallying the results. Athletes had 75 minutes to fire 60 shots. Once the competition was over, an Olympic final was held with the top eight finishers. The athletes fired 10 shots in two series of five. After each series, an elimination round began, with the lowest-ranked shooter being eliminated every two shots, based on their score, until only two finalists remained.
All the competitions were held in a great atmosphere and were very well organized by the management team of the Andorra Precision Shooting Club.
Our club member, Jordi Balañá, won the Standard Pistol event on Saturday. Adria Rovira from the Granollers Shooting Club came in second, and Albert Lozano from the Alt Camp Shooting Club finished third.
On Sunday, he achieved second place, winning the silver medal, in the Olympic Air Pistol final.
The winner of this competition was Francesc Pàmies from the Andorra Precision Shooting Club, and Adria Rovira from the Granollers Shooting Club finished third.
Joan Pallares from the Cambrils Olympic Shooting Club also participated, qualifying for the air pistol final and obtaining an eighth position overall.
