From August 17th to 22nd, the Austrian city of Eisenstadt became the international epicenter of historical weapons shooting. There, 361 athletes from 23 countries demonstrated their precision, discipline, and passion for a sport that combines technique, history, and sportsmanship. Despite the intense heat, the atmosphere was marked by exemplary camaraderie, reminding us that this sport unites people from all over the world under a single purpose: to compete with honor. The Cambrils Olympic Shooting Club was represented by two athletes who gave their all: Jesús Arribas and Héctor Vila. Jesús Arribas’s performance was especially inspiring, achieving:
• Silver medal in the Forsyth event (Piston pistol team).
• Bronze medal in the Wogdon event (Flintlock pistol team).
• Two 4th place diplomas in Cominazzo (flint pistol) and Tanzutsu (match pistol).
These results not only reflect their talent and dedication, but also the constant work carried out by our club to keep this sport alive and competitive. Every shot, every training session, and every trip speaks to the commitment of our athletes and the support of those who accompany them. For all of this, we want to thank and congratulate our athletes. Their achievements are not just medals: they are a source of pride for Cambrils and an impetus to continue growing, training, and dreaming of new successes.
