- Cambrils wins the Spanish Air Pistol 2nd Phase Championship.
This past Sunday, September 25, the 2nd phase of the Spanish Air Pistol Championship took place in the enormous covered pavilion for the Olympic 10 meter air pistol modality, equipped with more than 70 electronic targets from the Catalan Olympic Shooting Federation, located in Institute of Public Safety of Catalonia, in Mollet del Vallès (Barcelona).
After making all the participants control the weight of the trigger of the weapon, the competition began, which has a test time of fifteen minutes where real shots can be made on the target and the result is shown immediately on the monitors, Once this time is over, the judges inform by public address that the competition time begins, the athletes have 75 minutes to make 60 shots.
The participation by all the Clubs was not very numerous due to the fact that the 2nd phases are a complement to the Spanish championship.
Josep Joan Pallares has participated in the Cambrils Olympic Shooting Club, managing to win the championship in the veteran category, being ahead of the athletes, including Seniors, with 538 points, being the best score in the entire competition.
We congratulate our participant once again for placing the Club de Tir Olimpic Cambrils in the front line of the competition and for the results that are being achieved in these championships that are so important in the calendar of the Spanish federation, as well as our Club and Cambrils in the elite of the international world of sport shooting that they represent.
