2026 CATALAN AIR SHOOTING CHAMPIONSHIP – YOUNG PROSPECTS.

Excellent performance by the Cambrils Olympic Shooting Club in Mollet del Vallès.
On Sunday, September 13, 2026, a delegation from the Cambrils Olympic Shooting Club traveled to the Olympic shooting facilities in Mollet del Vallès to participate in the Catalan Air Shooting Championship for Young Prospects. Our club’s team consisted of instructor Santiago Pleguezuelo and young athletes Massimo Barea (age 8) and Chiara Lorite (age 10). They arrived at the venue at 8:45 AM, allowing ample time before the competition’s scheduled start at 9:00 AM. However, a technical issue with the computer systems forced a delay in the start of the events until approximately 10:00 AM. Once the issue was resolved, the competition began. Both Massimo and Chiara demonstrated an excellent attitude, maintaining their focus and managing their nerves well throughout the competitive day. The results were outstanding: Massimo Barea took first place in his group, while Chiara Lorite also finished first in hers—in both cases competing against more than five other athletes. Following the competition, the diploma and medal presentation ceremony took place. The president of the Catalan Olympic Shooting Federation congratulated the young participants, highlighting their strong performance, behavior, and attitude throughout the event. The Cambrils Olympic Shooting Club wishes to extend special congratulations to Massimo and Chiara for their magnificent participation and the results achieved, and to thank Santiago Pleguezuelo for his guidance and coaching.
