VINTAGE CARBINE “DESTROYER”.

On Sunday, May 7, 2023, the Lleida Olympic Shooting Club organized the first “CAL BENITO” championship of 2023 of those that will become the championship of the mythical vintage carbine of the 20s of the Destroyer model. There was a total participation of 25 athletes, from our club our members J. María García, F. Javier Vernet and Rafel García appeared to compete, remaining in the 8th, 10th and 14th positions. We have had a fantastic morning for the time that we have met and in the gallery there was an excellent climate that helped in the smooth running of the competition with very adequate facilities to practice sports shooting at distances of 50 / 100 meters. Throughout the day that the championship lasted, good camaraderie and concord reigned among all the participants, as is typical in this type of event. The participants have been invited to a breakfast by Mr. Benito before starting the competition. At the end, the awards ceremony and recognition to the Cambrils participants for their attendance have been distributed with a good reception by the organization, we have been invited for the next one, we just need to congratulate our participating partners for the results they are achieving and participation in these championships, as well as our Club and the city of Cambrils in the elite of shooting sports that they represent.
