  • This past Sunday the Standard Pistol Championship of Catalonia took place at the facilities of the Catalan Olympic Shooting Federation located at the Public Safety Institute of Catalonia in Mollet del Vallès.
    The competition started late due to the failure of the electronic counting computer system, forcing the competition site to be changed to the shooting gallery 25 meters away within the same facilities. Finally, the competition ended in the traditional way, with paper targets instead of electronic dartboards.
    This Standard Pistol Championship is one of the ones with the greatest participation in the entire Catalan federation calendar, since it is considered the most demanding modality within the sporting weapons category and a very small caliber firearm is used. accurate.
    The athlete from our club Jordi Francesc Balañà manages to get on the podium in a creditable third position in the senior category, the winner of this edition was the International athlete from the Barcelona Shooting Club Lino Garcia.
