Participation in the Spanish Championship of Sports Weapons. the athlete from the Cambrils Shooting Club Jordi Balañá was third classified by the Catalan Federation teams in the CENTRAL FIRE GUN modality.
From October 6 to 9, the Spanish Sports Weapons Championship took place at the Olympic Shooting High-performance Sports Center in Granada.
During these days of competition the influx of athletes has been more than 180 participants, many of whom participate in all possible modalities.
The weather has been very favorable, very sunny and high temperatures.
The facilities allow sixty athletes to compete at the same time, such a high number means that competitions, especially with more powerful calibers, such as 9mm, generate a thunderous noise when the 60 athletes unload five shots in twenty seconds.
The athlete from the Cambrils Shooting Club has participated in a total of three precision modalities; STANDARD PISTOL, CENTRAL FIRE PISTOL AND 9MM PISTOL, the first two modalities have been part of the Catalan Federation team, wearing the four-barred uniform of the Catalan Olympic Shooting Federation.
On Friday the STANDARD PISTOL competition was held, on Saturday the CENTRAL FIRE competition with very good results that have allowed the Catalan Federation team, together with Lino García and Emili Manzano, to obtain third position for teams in the CENTRAL FIRE mode, by Lastly, on Sunday with the Cambrils Shooting Club kit, the 9MM competition was held, which closed the championship.
It has been a very exciting weekend in which there was an atmosphere of great cordiality among all the participants.
