Murcia Sports Weapons Federation Cup.

Last Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, the Sports Weapons Federation Cup took place at the Murcia Olympic Shooting Federation’s sports facilities in Molina de Segura. During these days of competition, more than 120 athletes participated, many competing individually, as part of Federation teams, and as part of Club teams.

These facilities are currently the most modern in Spain. All four Cup disciplines were contested using electronic targets, and the entire competition benefited from the accuracy of these devices, which analyze the impact on the target in milliseconds and display the result to the athlete.

Jordi Balañá, representing the Cambrils Shooting Club, competed in the senior category, achieving excellent individual results: fifth place in Standard Air Pistol, earning a diploma from the Spanish Federation; seventh place in 9mm Pistol; and tenth place overall in the national championships.

Balañá also participated as part of the Catalan Federation’s Senior team, alongside Girona athletes Jordi Murta and Dídac Thomas. They reached the podium in all the disciplines contested, winning three team championships in Standard Air Pistol, Standard Pistol, and 9mm Pistol, as well as one runner-up title.

The Catalan team in the Senior category, sporting the four-striped colors of the Catalan flag, was almost the sole dominator of this competition among Federation teams.
