Participation of the Cambrils Shooting Club athlete, Jordi Balañá in the Copa del Rey of the Olympic modality of Air Pistol.
On February 3-5, the Copa del Rey air pistol took place at the Murcia Olympic Shooting Federation shooting range, located in Molina de Segura, very close to the city of Murcia. They are new and both the lighting, very good, and the space available to each athlete, the facilities are very spacious, the electronic targets and the display monitors in general are very successful. During these days of competition, the influx of athletes has been more than 160 participants in both pistol and carbine. The facilities allow a total of forty athletes to compete in the same round, however, four pistol rounds had to be carried out in the various categories of participants, Youth, Ladies, Veterans and Seniors.
The Cambrils Shooting Cube athlete has participated individually, occupying the twenty-seventh final position, improving previous results and focusing the new season with optimism.
The test consisted of two competition shots of 60 shots on Saturday and another on Sunday, where only the best result obtained by each participant counts for the classification.
The organization has been of a very high level. The highest score has been achieved by the athlete on several Olympic occasions, Sonia Franquet with 583 points.
