• HAM COMPETITION 2017
• Within the program of parties announced in our town. Last December 26, San Esteban festivity was celebrated as is already traditional, the popular ham shooting competition, at 9:00 a.m. in the first place with a popular lunch for all members of our entity and family having a pike – pica, bread with tomato, a whole ham, drinks and snacks for all attendees. The participation was 25 shooters and their relatives. The prizes consist of: A ham for the best ten obtained in the modality of Cal. 22 Standard. A ham also for the best ten of Grueso Caliber. A ham also for the best ten achieved in the form of Historical Weapons (Avancarga). A ham also for the best ten achieved in the compressed air pneumatic mode. The prizes are not cumulative, in the end the rest of the shooting competitors who have participated and have not won a prize, entered the draw for 20 consolation prizes and another ham. Each competitor can throw in the 4 modalities, it is emphasized that this competition is very popular and depends on luck, like the lottery. The best ten of each target is awarded within the modality, taking into account that if the first ten is made, it is no longer possible to continue competing on the same target, since the second ten would result in the annulment of the entire roll, scoring the worst 10, it is curious to see that a very good shooter may only throw a shot and turn out to be a poorly focused ten and in this way he has to withdraw from this mode without being able to get the maximum prize and a shooter that is usually not too much good competing get to enter the best ten focused on that modality taking the prize. In all the modalities a maximum of 20 shots can be thrown with the exception of the Historical Weapons that is of 13. The winners of the prizes each were: JORDI TARRAGO in the modality of pneumatics (Compressed air) .- JOSEP ARAGONÉS in the modality of Thick Caliber.- MOISÉS FERRER in the modality of Historical Weapons (Avancarga) .- JAIME SEDÓ in the modality of Cal. 22 (Standard) .- HÉCTOR VILA in the draw for the 5th Ham. One more year has been a real success.
